Santo Domingo, D.R. - The prestigious Hodelpa hotel chain, with ten properties located in Juan Dolio, Santo Domingo, Santiago and Puerto Plata, hosted the 40th Annual Congress of the International Federation of Associations of Women Entrepreneurs and Executives in Tourism (FIASEET), held for the first time in the Dominican Republic.
The opening of the event took place at the emblematic Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando, where the participants were welcomed with a cocktail reception. Among the attendees were members of the Hodelpa corporate team, Dominican government officials and diplomatic representatives. During the reception, the businesswomen from the tourism sector were entertained in an atmosphere that celebrated collaboration and women's empowerment in the industry.
Jakaira Cid, president of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Executives in Tourism (AFEET) in the Dominican Republic, opened the event by emphasizing that the congress is a key platform for fostering innovation and leadership in tourism, underscoring the importance of strengthening the role of women in the sector globally. For her part, Rosanna Fustagño, president of FIASEET, highlighted the fundamental pillars of the federation: training, female empowerment, sustainable and sustainable tourism, and the fight against the sexual exploitation of minors in tourism.
Representing the Ministry of Tourism, Vice Minister Roberto Henriquez, on behalf of Minister David Collado, praised the contributions of women in the tourism industry, highlighting their perseverance and leadership in the growth of the sector.
Meyci Díaz, commercial director of Hodelpa, closed the evening by expressing her gratitude to FIASEET for trusting the hotel chain, which with its wide range of beach and urban hotels reflects the hospitality and quality of Dominican tourism.
